History

Established in 1972.

Elvin French, a manager at Signetics Corporation, with prior experience in companies such as LTV Aerospace and texas instruments, had a vision. He saw a need in the automobile sales arena, and developed a fresh new way to sell used vehicles. French combined his business savvy and his love for cars, and along with CPA Neil Stephens, Commander Wayne Curtis and Attorney William Butler, made the dream a reality. The resultant company, Wheels and Deals, provides individuals a new and exciting way to buy and sell vehicles. Eliminating the middle man, French introduced consumers to a safe environment in which to meet , without having them ever expose their homes and families to strangers. French has since stepped down to pursue his interest in Prison ministry along with his wife Kay.

From day one, Wheels and deals has been a family oriented business, and throughout its over 40 year span in the bay area has seen most of the French family behind the counter, doing everything from customer service to maintaining the lot. 
Bob and Jerry French took over when Elvin stepped down in 1993. Combining Jerry's background in sales and marketing and Bob's extensive background in all things automotive (he was the founder of Mopar Alley) the brothers made a winning combination, and have seen the business thrive even in an economically unstable market.
